Golf Committee
This committee is responsible for the Chapter’s annual golf outing which benefits our Robert L Harris Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Responsibilities include:
- Select golf club and set tournament date
- Set, review, and achieve annual budget goals
- Work with Chapter Admin to advertise event
- Recruit teams and sponsorships
- Help with event set up, registration, & clean up
Membership Committee
This committee is responsible for the Chapter’s membership recruitment and retention efforts. The committee meets as required.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and recruit prospective members
- Promote CFMA at events and answer inquiries regarding membership
- Integrate new members into the organization
- Hold membership drives
- Work on member retention
Programs & Special Events Committee:
This committee is responsible for the development and planning of all Chapter meetings, social gatherings, and our annual scholarship dinner (excludes the annual golf outing). The committee meets as required.
- Set annual calendar for chapter meetings, socials, and annual scholarship dinner
- Book speakers for chapter meetings & scholarship dinner
- Coordinate with Chapter Admin to advertise events
- Secure sponsorships as required
- Attend 75% of chapter meetings, social events, and scholarship dinner
Scholarship Committee:
This committee is responsible for the selection process through which the Chapter awards scholarships each year to top accounting and construction students from Tennessee state colleges. These students have demonstrated an interest in the construction industry. The committee meets as required.
- Review & update parameters for scholarship program as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with local colleges & promote scholarship program
- Review applications and select winners
- Assist in appropriately dispersing funds to students through financial aid offices
- Attend annual scholarship dinner
Southeast Regional Conference Committee:
This committee is responsible for the development of all educational offerings at the annual Southeast CFMA Conference. This committee partners with Birmingham CFMA members as well. The committee meets as required.
- Determine programming for annual Southeast Regional Conference
- Create and manage event budget
- Coordinate advertisement and registration with Chapter Admin
- Assist with event set up, registration, and clean up
- Attend annual conference
CCIFP
The CCIFP Chapter Champion is responsible for increasing the number of CCIFPs in our chapter by talking about certification at chapter meetings. Supporting members who on in the process of being certified. Sharing information about being a CCIFP and supporting any study groups that we host. Current Champion: George Parrott, Cooper Travis.
